Who says PLKN is sucks? PLKN is not an
army. PLKN is not that torturing the trainee. PLKN is stand for Program
Latihan Khidmat Negara or National Service of Malaysia. Based on us (ex-trainee
of PLKN) experiences, there is no such incident where the PLKN trainer
torturing very much to the trainee. The activities are fun, interesting and it
is just more than that.
Last month (December), I check my penempatan kem (located camp). And my
located camp is Kem PLKN Jugra Banting
Selangor Darul Ehsan. Nice, and I will fly there on the 1st of
January 2012 (New Year Day).
I packed my bag one week before I go. On
the 1st day, registration for trainee that will go to camp at
Semantan, Bau, Serian, and Selangor (Princess Haliza, Millenium Beranang, Jugra
Banting, Templer Rawang and etc). Then I board my bus and I meet new friends
there from other school in Kuching. Our bus will send us to Kuching
International Airport.
Arrived at airport, we proceed to the
check-in counter. We make a few lines then given a briefing and boarding pass
to check-in. After that, we entered boarding hall...as usual pass by the
immigration counter (for passenger flight to West Malaysia, Sabah and
international destination). Waited for a few hours, then we boarded our flight
(ETD 1605 hrs), MH 2517 to Kuala Lumpur (KUL).
Briefing b4 check-in
“Tuan-tuan dan puan-puan,selamat datang ke penerbangan
MH 2517 ke Kuala Lumpur. Anak-anak kapal kami akan menunjukkan langkah-langkah
keselamatan....”
As our flight ascending, me and other
Kuchingite trainees will leave land of Sarawak until 17th March 2012. So kecewa my seat is not beside the window.
The inflight meal served; nasi briyani
ayam or sweet and sour fish (can choose between this two)...drink; orange
juice, coffee and tea, soft drink (Sprite).
Our aircraft landed at Kuala Lumpur
International Airport (KLIA) at about 5.45 p.m. After took our bag from baggage
conveyor belt, again we berbaris at arrival hall. This is the second time I
landed at KLIA since 12 years ago (primary 1) (always landed at Johor Bahru
Senai Airport).
We board our bus to our camp; Kem Jugra
Banting. Arrived there we register at the camp’s open hall and the jurulatih (trainer) spot check our
luggage one by one. Then we have dinner at dewan
makan, and we eat the unusual food for Sarawakian; Peparu Lembu....a local food..
And lastly we entered our assigned dorm, my
Kompeni is Charlie, and my dorm is Charlie
